Meet Anna

Dr. Anna Precht is a faculty member at Harvard Medical School Department of Psychiatry and a Senior Clinical Consultant at McLean Hospital. She specializes in the use of evidence-based treatments, including DBT and CBT, and is particularly interested in the treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder, emotion dysregulation, and self-injurious behaviors. Her expertise is drawn from her work across multiple settings over the past 20 years. She supervises, trains, and consults to individuals, teams, and programs throughout the US and internationally. She’s been featured in a host of podcasts, webinars, and media outlets including US News & World Reports, News Nation, and The Harvard Gazette.

As a psychologist who works with adolescents and as a parent herself, Dr. Precht understands the difficulties that caregivers face in raising kids, especially kids who struggle with their emotions. She believes that the whole family benefits when parents learn skills to respond flexibly, compassionately, and in line with their Wise Mind values.
